UPDATE (4:36 p.m.): I just heard from Dickinson, and he is indeed transferring to LMU. "When I visited, I loved the school and felt really comfortable with coaches and players," he said.
Original Post (11:00 a.m.): The New York Times reported today that Ben Dickinson, who led Binghamton in both scoring and rebounding during his freshman season last year, is expected to transfer to LMU. Dickinson's departure from the program is not surprising, considering the Binghamton program today announced the firing of its head coach.
Dickinson averaged 13.5 points and 6.1 rebounds last season, while starting 27 of his team's 30 games. The 6'8" forward, who is originally from Virginia, was an America East Conference all-rookie last season. If he is indeed joining the Lion, he would sit out one year due to NCAA rules.
