Lions look to take 2-1 WCC record

LMU will travel to San Diego tonight to take on the University of San Diego Toreros at 6 p.m. The Lions have won three of the last four regular season contests against the Toreros, but lost the last one at San Diego by three points one year ago when multiple last-second shot attempts bounced off the rim.

San Diego is 5-9 on the season and 0-2 in conference play after losses to BYU and Saint Mary's. The Toreros did play Saint Mary's tough two days ago, losing by just six points to the conference powerhouse, and received 22 points from guard Johnny Dee. San Diego shot 50 percent from the floor in the game, including 7-14 from three, something the Lions will need to contain.

This is an important game for LMU, which can either establish itself as a team which beats down on the lower-half of the WCC standings, or belongs there itself. You can follow along with live video action or with live tweeting from San Diego.
