Ireland named WCC Player of the Week

LMU sophomore guard Anthony Ireland has just been named WCC Player of the Week, the conference announced. In the Lions lone game of the week, Ireland led LMU to an upset victory over BYU after scoring 27 points and dishing out five assists. He is the second Lion to be named POW this year, after Ashley Hamilton took home the honor the first week of the season.

Ireland and the Lions travel to Santa Clara tonight to take on the Broncos at 7 p.m.
