LMU will take on BYU tonight on the road at 5:30 (PT). The game will be shown live on Fox Sports Prime Ticket and also online at BYUtv.org.
The Lions enter the contest 3-2 in West Coast Conference play after a tough loss to Gonzaga on Saturday. The Cougars will enter the game 4-1 in WCC play, with their only loss coming against Saint Mary's. They have yet to play the Zags.
The Lions and Cougars matched up at Gersten Pavilion just two weeks ago, when BYU left with a 73-65 victory. LMU, however, put up a tough fight, finding itself down by 13 with 2:44 to play before closing the gap to just two with 49 seconds remaining. Anthony Ireland led the way in the loss with 21 points, while Drew Viney and Jarred DuBois each contributed 13 but on a combined 9-29 from the field. The Lions played that game without Ashley Hamilton, who will be in the lineup tonight. Click here for a great article on Hamilton and the impact he makes on the Lions' roster.
Tonight's game will not be an easy one for the Lions, who will travel to BYU for the first time since the Cougars joined the WCC. BYU has easily the strongest home court advantage in the conference, with attendance which gets up to ten times larger than what the Lions see at Gersten.
A fully healthy roster will once again not be a reality for the Lions, however, as it looks like Jarred DuBois is still out with what the Athletics Department is calling a concussion suffered in the Lions game against San Diego 12 days ago. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, BYU will also not be 100% healthy. Click here for more.
